FAQs
Why should I book a puppy visit and not a dog walk?
Over walking puppies and young dogs can cause permanent damage to their joints. We advise that young dogs and puppies should not be walked for more than 5 minutes per month of age. So a 6 month old dog can go for a 30 minute walk. This means that until a dog is 10 months old we won’t take them on one of our group walks.
What do you do when you visit?
This depends on what you want however, a visit is up to 30 minutes. For really young dogs we will change water, feed if required and give them a good fuss and toilet break in the garden. With older dogs we will take a lead walk following the guidance above.
What time will you arrive for the visit?
We offer 3 time slots, you can either book between 9am and 11am, 11am and 2pm or 2pm and 5pm. We don’t offer specific times but we do guarantee to arrive in the booked session.
How can I be confident that you or your pet sitter is trustworthy?
All franchisees and employees who have unescorted access to a client’s home will have undergone a basic DBS check. We can also provide references from some of our many happy customers.
Will my dog be visited by the same person?
We think that building up trust between the dog and their sitter is really important so we always try to be consistent. In the event that we need to change the person visiting your dog we will always let you know.
Can you cater for other animals?
Yes of course, we can provide services for most small domestic animals, just tell us what you have and we can help.
