My Best Friend, North Shropshire, is owned and operated by Karen Horton and is based in Muxton providing doggy day care, dog home boarding, pet sitting and puppy care and dog walking services. Covering Muxton, Telford, Lilleshall, Shifnal, Newport and North Shropshire we are well placed for all of your dog care needs.
About Karen Horton
Growing up near Cannock Chase in Staffordshire, I always enjoyed long walks in the woods with my family and our dogs, Bonnie, Shep and Pepe. Walks around the Wrekin were also particular favourite places to visit, so much so that my family migrated West into Shropshire. One of my favourites is Granville Country Park.
Over the years, I volunteered for pet sitting for friends, family and colleagues, looking after a variety of dogs from Shih Tzu’s to Dobermans, socialising energetic puppies to become confident and outgoing whilst also hanging out with the seniors when they just wanted to lie on the sofa and watch TV.
I had a 25-year career managing health and community development projects in the UK and overseas, but I always knew I wanted to set up my own business one day, to be closer to family and friends and of course to spend more time with my own dog, Milo.
After working long hours and occasionally travelling away from home, I know how challenging it can be to balance a busy work & social life with the needs of our furry family members.
Milo and I are looking forward to welcoming you and your own best friends soon, where you know that they will be entrusted to the care of someone who will treat them as part of the family in a home away from home.
