Our Service – Home Boarding
My Best Friend provides safe, secure and fun home boarding through a network of carefully selected carers and franchisees.
As an alternative to dog boarding kennels, your best friend really does become part of the family when in the care of My Best Friend.
When you want to take that well-deserved holiday, weekend away or just spend some dog-less time with family and friends, then My Best Friend will give your best friend a home-from-home experience.
Our home dog boarding service enables you to do whatever you want whenever you want to do it. We promise that your best friend will never be left in a kennel!
My Best Friend are very careful when it comes to choosing carers, they all undergo an indepth interview at their home to make sure they’re suitable.
Above all else our carers are certified dog lovers!

FAQs
Can I visit where my dog will be home boarding?
Yes of course!. We strongly encourage a pre-board meeting at the Carers home prior to any home boarding stay and in fact this is a requirement if the carer has a resident dog. These can be arranged at a time convenient for you.
I don’t have a car so can you provide a pick up and drop off service?
Yes, we can arrange transport for an extra charge. Please give us a call and we can give you a quote.
How do you know about my dogs’ personality habits and routines?
Before we confirm any booking we go through a very detailed face to face consultation to find out all about your best friend. This allows us to make sure that we find him the ideal Carer to ensure his home boarding experience is fun and stress free.
How many walks will my dog get each day?
We follow your dogs’ routines as much as possible so if he has 3 hours of walks a day that’s what we try to do!
Do you walk my dog on or off lead?
This is up to you but we will ask for your specific consent to walk your dog off the lead although this is certainly our preference. We believe that your dog will get far more out of a walk if he is able to run and play with the other dogs in the pack but regardless of consent we only let dogs off lead where we believe it is safe and sensible to do so.
My dog requires medication for a health condition, can this be administered?
Yes, we can administer medication but just ask for detailed instructions and an overview of his medical history. We are happy to discuss any requirements that your best friend may have and generally we can meet most requirements.
Are you insured and licenced?
We are fully insured in case of anything happening to your dog due to our negligence and are licenced by the relevant local authority. For more information please read our terms and conditions of business.
What do I need to provide for my dog?
We ask that you provide his bed and clean bedding, food and water bowls, lead and harness (if used) toys and his favourite treats and we provide the fuss and fun!
Can you accommodate puppies?
Yes we can but we do charge a little extra for dogs under 6 months old.
How do I know if my dog is having a good time?
We send you regular “pup dates” throughout his stay so you can see that he’s having a better time than you!
Please see our Terms and Conditions for more information.
