Worden Park Dog Walk, Leyland
The Worden Park Dog Walk is a favourite of mine at My Best Friend Dog Care Blackpool and Preston.
Worden Park is an old country estate that until 1941 was home to the Farrington Family when a devastating fire took hold and destroyed Worden Hall. Today what is left of the historic building are home to an Arts and Crafts Centre. The park is a great destination for a family day out as well as a perfect spot for dog walking.

| Location | Worden Park, Leyland |

| Time | 1 Hour |
| Distance | 1.5 Miles |
Start
Park at the entrance on Worden Lane and then go across the car park via the playing field.
Go through the wooded area until you reach the gravel stairs which leads down to Shaw Brook
Follow the path along side the river until you reach the end of Shaw Brook then follow the path round to get onto the playing fields
Walk back towards the car park past the refreshment stand and mini golf course.
Shaw Brook is brilliant if your dog loves to go for a swim and a run through the trees and there is always plenty of dogs from them to meet and play with. Worden Park also has many open fields for your dog to have a good run around. Please note dogs are not permitted on any of the play areas and in the various ponds in the park.
Worden Park offers a range of attractions including a Model Railway, 9 Hole Crazy Golf, Formal Gardens, a Children’s Adventure Playground and the Old Walled Gardens. The Folly Coffee House offers a range of apres walk refreshments too.
I hope you enjoy the Warden Park Dog Walk as much as I do.
