Bampton Dog Walk

Another shorter walk but a lovely one all the same.

Start

Park near the Church (Church Street, Church View or Landells). Once parked walk from Church View onto Landells and after about 50 metres you will see a footpath sign on the left taking you though a large metal 5 bar gate. Head through the gate and follow this path until it takes you over a concrete bridge and opens into a large meadow.

Waypoint 1

Walk though the meadow keeping the brook on your right-hand side and continue all the way round until you find yourself in the North West corner where the path goes into a small wooded area.

Waypoint 2

Follow the path through the woods (after about 10 meters there is a great place for the dogs to play and splash in the brook) and continue until you come out on to the edge of a large field.

Waypoint 3

Turn left and continue for about 100 meters, the path then takes you back into the woods and over a wooded foot bridge.

Waypoint 4

Cross the bridge and head diagonally across a large field towards a small copse of trees. From here head half right down a track bordered by hedges on both sides.

Waypoint 5

At the end of the track go though a metal 5 bar gate and just follow the path over 2 styles and a footbridge until you come to a 3rd style and the road.

Waypoint 6

Cross the road and turn left heading back into Bampton and then after 300 meters or so turn left again onto Church View and back to the start.

Apres Walk

Bampton hosts a number of pubs and coffee shop with alfresco facilities if the weather permits.
