Forest of Bere Dog Walk
The Forest of Bere Dog Walk is one of my favourites! This historic woodland offers so much more than just great place to walk with your dog. As well as 2 way-marked walks and cycling trails you can enjoy horse riding, educational trails and the kids can have fun in the play area.
Note: Due to Covid-19 a number of the facilities were not available at time of writing. Please check the Forestry England website before visiting.

This walk offers easy access by car with pay and display parking, during the summer a mobile cafe can be found in the car park for post walk refreshments. The car park can be found off Hundred Acres Road between Wickham Common and Soberton Heath.
The Forest of Bere is a mixed use area of woodland covering around 350 hectares and is the largest remaining fragment of a former medieval hunting ground. Today Great Crested Newts have been found in the ponds and you can often see deer if you are very quiet and keep your dogs under close control.
If horse riding is your thing you can enjoy a scenic horse ride on a number of permissive trails that meander through the woodland. For more information contact TROT.
