Dog Boarding in Burford

All of our Carers are fully insured through Clivertons, hold a Home Boarding Licence and above all just love looking after your best friend. When a dog comes for home boarding with My Best Friend Dog Care we treat them as if they were our own. Prior to any stay we conduct a full assessment to get to know your best friend and then arrange a time for you both to go and meet the Carer.

Let us introduce you to Sandra and Richard Axtell.

Sandra and Richard have been looking after your dogs since April 2017. Very sadly they lost their Westie, Poppy, in late 2016 and really missed having a dog around the house. Caring for dogs through My Best Friend is a great way for them to help make their house a home with the patter little and occasionally, muddy, paws.  Based just between Burford and Lechlade, living in a lovely cottage on the edge of The Cotswold Wildlife Park they are ideally placed for our customers.

Mackay the Westie

Mackay has been coming to stay with My Best Friend since he was a puppy. Now at the ripe old age of 3 and a half he loves nothing more than curling up on “Auntie” Sandra’s sofa.

Reg the Bulldog and Pepper the scruffy rescue

Reg is a typical Bulldog. He’s stubborn and a little bit lazy but has a great temperament. Pepper had a tough start in life and it took her a while to trust. Sandra and Richard gave her the love that she needed and by the end of her stay was like a different dog.

Eddie the Beagle and Billy the Yorkshire Terrier

Eddie is a naughty but very lovable dog. We have know him since he was just 3 months old when he started coming for regular day care. Billy is in his golden years and sadly is losing is sight. That’s not problem for Sandra and Richard, they give him extra special care to make sure he’s happy and settled.

We also have Carers in Carterton, Lechlade and Filkins so are well placed to cover all of the towns and villages across West Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds.
