My Last dog blog was all about puppy care.
Well this time we can fast forward 11 years and meet meet Tiggy the Springer Spaniel from Ringwood, who has been home boarding with My Best Friend New Forest for the past two weeks.
On meeting with Tiggy’s owners, her medication requirements were discussed and all details updated into my electronic ‘Petsitter’ system which is an excellent point of reference, this enabled me to administer the 12 plus daily tablets with confidence.

You could not find a more gentle, calm dog, who allowed me to open her mouth and just pop the tablets at the back of her throat. Each tablet session was followed with a high reward treat which served two purposes, one to make sure that all tablets had been swallowed and two to let her know what a good girl she was.
