Bear is a twelve year Akita old who suffers from arthritis. Needless to say, we don’t always walk very far. On her good days we can last the 20 minutes and luckily there is a small field at the end of her road for us to walk around. On her bad days and sometimes depending on the weather, especially the cold and rain, who can blame her, we don’t go so far. It could be just the matter of going to the field, doing her business and then back home. Bear is big dog so usually dictates where she wants to go but when she does get going you certainly have to be strong to keep up.
