Hi, James Falder here and I am a professional Fylde Dog Walker.
I know how hard it can be choosing the right dog walker for your best friend so read on for some helpful hints.
If, like me, you tend to use search engines to help you find a dog walking or other service you will know that it can be a minefield.

Here are my top 5 tips to help you choose a trusted Fylde dog walker…
- What do their other clients say about the dog walking service? Click here to read my testimonials.
- Do they have their own website? It’s very easy for anybody to set up a social media page or list on a dog walking directory. A trusted Fylde dog walker should have their own web-page that tells you everything you need to know. Click here to see mine.
- Are they insured? You should always ask to see a copy of their certificate.
- Do they have the relevant knowledge and training? As a professional dog walker I have completed a Level 3 Diploma and Dog Care.
- How will they transport your best friend to and from his walk? I use an air-conditioned van and safe and secure cages for the dog’s comfort and safety.
Once you have confirmed these top tips then it’s essential that you meet up with your Fylde dog walker. This allows them to get to know you and your best friend. I always complete an in-depth assessment so I can provide the best possible dog walking service.
My clients’ also love hearing about what their best friend got up to on his walks. Here’s a few of the highlights from the past couple of weeks.
Darcy and Franklin, a Beagle and Springer Spaniel
Darcy and Franklin are from the village of Warton on the Fylde Coast. We regularly go on walks around Warton, Kirkham, Wesham and Lytham Saint Anne’s. Their favourite walk is along the sand dunes in Lytham Saint Anne’s where they run through the sand chasing each other nonstop for the full 50 minutes. Darcy the Beagle is a bit more relaxed than Franklin the Spaniel and will happily stroll along having a sniff in all the bushes but is forced into playtime by Franklin who’s always full of energy and ready to go.
Mowgli a Black Labrador
Mowgli is a Black Labrador from Wesham which is also in the Fylde. Mowgli is a lot of fun on walks and is always very excited to see his doggy friends. He loves to run around Kirkham playing fields with Chester and Tilly whether that’s chasing the ball or chasing each other. By the end of the walk he’s ready for a nap after all the running he’s done.
Hugo a Jack Russell
Hugo is a Jack Russell who lives in Ansdell which is in Lytham Saint Anne’s. I walk Hugo twice a week with his 3 doggy friends, Molly, Tilly and Al. Our walk is usually on Lytham Green or Fairhaven Lake where they get the opportunity to meet other dogs and burn off some energy. Hugo likes to keep the other 3 in check, but they all get on well and are a pleasure to walk.
Coming soon…
We have recently had the introduction of some new dogs to our dog walking service who will start in March, these include Sasha the Springer Spaniel, Gary the Black Labrador, Loki the Boston x Pug and Ralph the Springer Spaniel. I am actively looking for new clients in Whitestake and the surrounding areas as well as our main locations of Freckleton, Warton, Kirkham and Wesham, Lytham Saint Annes and Wrea Green.
