This Month I have been house sitting in Freckleton, Lancashire where I have had the pleasure of taking care of their 3 Shih Tzu’s Ollie, Oscar and Leo.
It also gave them the peace of mind that someone they trust was there most of the day and throughout the night to keep everything in check and water the flowers while they enjoyed their holiday.
Over the last 2 weeks me and the boys have been on many short walks around Freckleton. We have walked around the park and Freckleton playing fields where they have had the opportunity to meet lots of new doggy friends and see some of their old ones too. Leo and Oscar love their walks and are full of enthusiasm each time we go out and enjoy meeting other dogs along the way. Ollie being the older of the 3 is much more laid back and prefers a gentle stroll around the park where he can have a good sniff around all the bushes.
We also made a trip to the Ship Inn where they had their first annual Freckleton Dog Show, they met lots of other dogs and loved the attention they got from the other dog owners who attended.
After we’ve been on our walks they all enjoy a good nap as it only takes a 20-30 minute walk to tire out their little legs but once they have regained their energy it’s time for play and they’ve got many toys to choose from. If the weathers nice we will spend time in the garden and play with the ball after I’ve watered the flowers, otherwise they’ll have a good run around the house switching between their favourite toys.
Once its time to settle down for the night after their evening walk they will relax on the sofa looking for cuddle or in their doggy beds to chew on one of their toys then time for a snooze until its time for their morning stroll.
I have had a great time looking after Ollie, Oscar and Leo and will miss each one of them and their individual personalities.
