Dog Fest North With My Best Friend Stafford
I had the pleasure of going to Dog Fest North with a few of my regulars. This year it was held at Tatton Park, Cheshire.
The journey is about an hour but using my air conditioned van with safe and secure cages the doggy passengers slept for most of the way!
Stanley, Arthur and Millie were so excited for their day our and I have to say we all had a wonderful time.
Millie is my very own dilly Dalmatian who just loves the company of other dogs. She always makes the dogs that come for home boarding feel very welcome. What a great host!!
Stanley is a lovely Yellow Labrador that has been coming to me since he was a puppy. He’s such a regular at My Best Friend Stafford that sometimes forget he’s not one of my own. Being a Labrador he loves water and food.
Arthur is a newbie at My Best Friend Stafford but Millie and Stanley both made him feel at home. I suppose that one of the reasons it’s called Home Boarding! He’s only a puppy but already such a big boy being an English Pointer. I had to work hard to stop him snaffling bits and bobs during our day out as he would have eaten everything in sight. We don’t see many English Pointers which is a shame as they are such a great breed. Here’s a little bit about them:
Life Span: 12 – 17 years
Characteristics: Affectionate, Kind, Loyal, Amiable, Even Tempered, Active
Dog Breed Group: Gundog
Height: 53 cm – 70 cm
Appearance: Symmetrical and well built all over, general outline a series of graceful curves. A strong but lissom appearance.
Coat: Fine, short, hard and evenly distributed, perfectly smooth and straight with decided sheen.
I think you’ll agree Arthur is a fine example of the breed.
