My Best Friend, West Oxfordshire, has been providing 5 star doggy day care for over 10 years. Based in the village of Langford just 8 miles from Burford we provide home from home doggy day care for a small number of carefully chosen dogs.

My Best Friend was started in 2015 by Jon after he decided to leave the corporate world and follow his desire to set up a dog care business. Jon has 3 dogs of his own, Nova, Etta and Ruby who are very much part of the doggy day care pack.
After 10 years in business My Best Friend West Oxfordshire continue to provide outstanding home based doggy day care services but since 2023 they have reduced to daily number of dogs to a maximum of 4. This makes it a perfect environment for those dogs that perhaps would not thrive in a commercial day care setting.
A day in the life…
A day in the life of a dog who comes to My Best Friend West Oxfordshire starts between 8am and 9am. Mums and Dads can drop off or My Best Friend can offer a pick up service from Lechlade, Burford, Carterton, Brize Norton, Bampton, Clanfield or any of the villages in between. From there Jon takes all of the dogs on countryside walk (on or off lead depending on the owner’s preference) before returning to the base in Langford.
During the day the dogs have rum of the large enclosed and secure garden as well as the downstairs of the house, they are very much part of the family.
After a relaxing morning Jon will take the dogs on a 2nd walk before returning for (hopefully) an afternoon nap! The nap is for the dogs and not for Jon!!
The day ends between 4pm and 5pm with Mums and Dads collecting their best friend or if required Jon can drop the dogs home at the end of day.
