As a dog owner I know just how hard it can be to find the right person to look after my 2 wonderful dogs when I’m off on my holidays. Just last year I simply couldn’t find anyone that I was completely happy with so in the end decided not to go away.

That’s just one of the reasons I decided to start my own dog home boarding business with My Best Friend Dog Care.

My Dog Boarding Service really is a home-from-home experience for your best friend and there’s not a kennel in sight. Here’s how I work…

During your initial enquiry I will find out a little bit about your best friend just to make sure he is suitable for my home boarding service. We will discuss things such as vaccinations, general health and I also need to make sure that he gets along with other dogs. All being well I will then ask you to register with me using our very client friendly on line portal before arranging a convenient time for you both to come and meet me and my 2 resident dogs.

Familiarisation Visit

During this visit we will make sure that all of the dogs get along and I will get to know your best friend. The more information I have the better able I am to help him settle in when he comes to stay. We cover things such as eating and sleeping routines, any medical issues, walking routines and much more besides. During his stay I endeavour to follow his usual routines and also send you “pup dates” to let you know what he’s been getting up to.

Let me tell you about one of my very first customers…

Darcey is a Whippet who is coming to stay with me in March. She is a fun loving dog who loves to run (like Whippets do) but is happy with one good walk each day. When she’s in the house she likes nothing better than snuggling under a blanket and snoozing the day away. I must say that I’m really looking forward to having her to stay!
