Open for Business in Chigwell

Dogs who join us for Doggy Day care will now have a drop off and pick time slot to ensure that only one customer is being dealt with at one time. We have also asked for only one person to attend pick ups/drop offs, with both customer and staff member wearing a face covering (a scarf or bandana are just as suitable). On arrival we ask that customers call or text us to notify us that they are here, to help us limit contact with the premises. We then meet them outside where we collect the dog, maintaining a 2 metre distance using our own lead.

All dogs that join us for day care are wiped down with a damp disposable cloth before entering the premises. If dogs require feeding then we ask that a week’s worth of food is provided, to again ensure minimal contact. Unfortunately dogs can not bring there own bedding or toys, but thankfully My Best Friend has enough of this for everyone. The premises, along with all bedding and toys are disinfected at the end of everyday.

When it comes to transportation the interior of the van is also disinfected with Formula H before and after every journey. We also use hand sanitizer and gloves where appropriate.

Whilst out on our walks we are trying to find the quietest spots possible to avoid coming into contact with others. Where this is not possible dogs are kept on 30ft leads to help us be able to socially distance from other people and dogs.

All of the extra hygiene and distancing measures means that we can operate as safely as possible in these uncertain times. We are also incredibly thankful to our customers who have continued to support us.
