The Hungarian Vizsla | My Best Friend - Dog Care You Can Trust

This is the Hungarian Vizsla. They have a wonderful temperament and have some really special traits and quirks. They LOVE to be by your side and are happiest when part of the family.

The Hungarian Vizsla dog breed was created in Hungary to work as a pointer and retriever. He has an aristocratic bearing and dates as far back as the 14th century.

All the Hungarian Vizsla really wants, though, is to be loved. He’s a super companion for an active family who can provide him with the exercise and attention he craves. This breed has a very special place in our hearts and it is said that once you’ve had a Vizsla (pronounced Veesh-lah), you will never want another breed again!

Nickname: Velcro Dog

Life Span: 12-15 years

Characteristics: Super affectionate (hence the nickname), tonnes of energy, a great family dog, easy to train but needs LOTS of exercise, around 2 hours a day!
